To post a score for your Handicap Index®, you need to play at least 9 holes that have a valid 9-hole Course Rating™ and Slope Rating®.
If you play between 10 and 17 holes – maybe because of weather, darkness, or match play – you’ll need to enter your score hole-by-hole for the holes you did play. An 18-hole Score Differential™ will be calculated using your performance on those holes (for example, holes 1–14) along with an expected Score Differential for the holes you didn’t play.
Your scoring record will display your total strokes and how many holes you completed – such as, 64 (14).
If you’re still working toward establishing a Handicap Index (by posting scores from at least 54 holes), you’ll only be able to post full 9-hole or 18-hole scores.
